赤い冠羽が特徴てきな当種はAtrantic Rain Forestおよびアマゾン川流域に分布します。ブラジルに生息する鳥で冠羽といえば、Atlantic Royal Flycatcherが有名かと思いますが、当種の冠羽はそのようには展開しません。黒と赤のコントラストが美しい鳥です。
